For Immediate Release, November 5, 2012:

McKeen’s Hockey adds Justin Goldman to team. The founder of TheGoalieGuild.com joins as director of goalie scouting

McKeen’s Hockey is thrilled to announce that Justin Goldman, founder of TheGoalieGuild.com, and writer for nhl.com, is joining our team as director of goalie scouting. Goldman will be writing a blog on mckeenshockey.com, as well as contributing to the scouting and player profiles that make up the McKeen’s Hockey Pool Yearbook and McKeen’s NHL Draft Guide. The Goalie Guild’s premium products will now be available for purchase on the mckeenshockey.com site.

Iain Morrell, publisher and founder of McKeen’s Hockey in 1994, was enthusiastic in welcoming Justin to the team.  “We have been impressed with Justin’s career to date and his professionalism and passion for scouting goaltenders. He will provide tremendous perspective to the rest of our scouting team on goalies. He will join a strong senior team of David Burstyn, Gus Katsaros and Robert Howard that will continue to build McKeen’s into an industry leader in hockey scouting, player profiles and editorial.”

The Goalie Guild website was established in 2009 and has developed a strong readership and following as evidenced by its 12,000 twitter followers. “To know that a respected scouting service like McKeen’s Hockey sees the value in having a goalie-specific scout on their staff is really exciting” said Goldman “I’m very much honored to accept this role as their director of goalie scouting, and I look forward to starting this new chapter in my professional career.”

McKeen’s just launched a new website in September www.mckeenshockey.com that will be home to the McKeen’s Hockey Pool Yearbook and McKeen’s NHL Draft Guide in a digital format.   The twenty year old company has ambitious plans for growth and offer a web mobile app for both publications. The addition of Justin Goldman to staff adds increased depth to an already strong team.

The McKeen’s senior team:

Iain Morrell – publisher and founder of McKeen’s.

David Burstyn – director of scouting, former NHL scout, current OHL scout
